  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apple announces "IOS 7 in the car."

Says Apple:

It "seamlessly integrates your iOS device — and the iOS experience — with your in-dash system. If your vehicle is equipped with iOS in the Car, you can connect your iPhone 5 and interact with it using the car's built-in display and controls or Siri Eyes Free," Apple says in its description on its website. "Now you can easily and safely make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, get directions and more."

If this concept was detached from Apple then I might support it, but it would have to be some kind of open system (think "Android"!) that simply extends the screen & functionality of *your smartphone of choice*.

This is easily doable with Android phones (an hdmi input cable would suffice), but Apple probably wouldn't allow this - and they'd obsolete it in a future iOS version requiring another purchase (much like they completely dropped all support for older iPhones, forcing you to upgrade).

Its just a matter of time that OEMs will go with some type of Mobile OS I would guess Apple or Android, or just "mirror" your mobile directly up on the screen.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Upgrading the Lexicon head unit for compatibilty with iOs in the car = $$$$. But I want it now.

Trying not to hijack thread - my original Ipad isn't supported in the latest OS update - even though it has same processor as iphones that do get the update. So - no photostream which is only with the latest OS. They just wanted to obsolete it.
