  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I keep hitting curbs and tire stops with the lower facia on my front bumper. Anyone else hitting theirs?

Barely. Nothing like I did with my previous car.

No problems with the lower front edge yet, but I did rip off the black right front mud guard last year. Caught it on a parking lot curb. Thankfully, no damage whatsoever to the body, or paint. Had to buy a new pair of front mudguards, though. Anybody need a left front mud guard?

Been driving lowered cars for a long time now used to parking far enough with out hitting lol. The people who owned it before me sctached the lower a bit :(

Just scraped the front facia parking 10 mins ago. First scuff on the brand new G. Sad face.

It's low enough to not be overtly noticeable, but its not invisible.

Ironically its in the exact same spot where there was a scratch on the used 1 year old Genesis that I passed up, which was $10k less.

Any tips on repairs, or does it require a trip to the body shop?

Sad sad day.

Yep have a ~2" scrape on mine. Black showing through the platinum (silver)

Nope, been use to low front cars since my 1997 BMW purchase, then low Acura, and low Mercedes. The plastic cover on the bottom of higher end cars takes some getting use to also. Drivers just need to pay attention. I also leave the parking assist on, which warns me sometimes.

I get plenty of warning and have zero marks on the bumper itself. The warning does not work for the black lower part of the bumper. It seems as if its only the lower1/2" thats catching those cement tire stops and its not all of them just maybe 1 of every 10. We mostly park in handicap.
