  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It can only move forward. Otherwise it does everything else just fine.
Pulled the fuse which did not help either.
Called my dealership service shop and scheduled to come in later this week so they'll take a look.
First defect in less than two weeks of ownership.

Have you checked to see if something was left under the seat that is jamming it. My wife left her briefcase under the seat once and I thought something was wrong with the seat motor.

The car was in the service shop this morning.
Diagnosis was a bad switch and have to order the part.
But the tech was able to unfreeze the relay so it does work for now.

My driver seat had that problem! I ended up taking a hair dryer and let it blow onto the switch area from underneath and it works fine now. Its been roughly 4 months since and still no issue.

Not disputing your method but I'm at a loss why blowing hot air on the back side of the switch to unfreeze the switch. Underneath the seat is almost impossible to get anything under it, let alone a hair dryer nozzle.

Sometimes the solder on electronic components doesnt seat well, so heating it up and letting it reset fixes many issues.

I just had the tip of the hair dryer pointed in the general direction of the switch. So far I haven't had another issue yet.

Update: dealer replaced the bad switch with a new one today.
This switch is fairly big in physical size, almost the size of an old Sony beta tape.
