  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all,

Tomorrow I'm going to be purchasing a CPO 2011 3.8, premium Nav package, with about 21k on the ODO.

Dealer wants $23,988 (plus the usual taxes, registration, etc...) and everything looks good from my initial inspection and test drive.

Overall I'm impressed, unless you all tell me I shouldn't be

Price seems high by a thousand or two, but that may be a local market thing. Check Edmunds and other on-line pricing sites to make sure you're getting the best deal.

Market report is below 20K plus fees. I would try to buy it around KBB trade in value. 19.5 to 20.5. Be patient-there are deals. Good luck.

A used '12 should also be in your sights.

I had the initial impression that it was high too, but in the local area (Phoenix, AZ), there isn't anything I could find on AutoTrader that was any lower, with so few miles. It's a cash offer, which may reflect the dealers hesitancy to move much on price since they aren't making anything on financing.

If you are willing to geographically expand your search you might find a 2012 at or near the same price at the optimum time of the month (last few days) and especially if the dealer is on a 12/31 year.
