Hi all, being used to a 5" Garmin 1450, (and other older ones) I was very disappointed in the touch screen NAV on my recently purchased 2013 Premium Genesis.
I understand that Version 7 is now available for a healthy price, but even if the roads are updated, I doubt that Mapnsoft has improved or added the other features that even a low end Garmin (or other make) have, plus free updates once or twice a year.
I see that Garmin has a 6" diagonal 66LM or a whopping 7" 2757LM. As much as I dislike sticking a GPS to the windshield, I may just do that.
My question to anyone else who uses an aftermarket GPS, how have you mounted the unit?
Does the friction bean bag type mount really stay put or does it tend to move around on the dash?
Has anyone found a way of mounting it low on the console so it's still safe to use?
Will a suction cup mount hold a 7" unit to the windshield without continually falling off?
Any and all input is appreciated. ....... RonJ
