  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In Texas, we "can get by" without a front plate. In removing the dealer installed plate and plate holder, I'm finding 3 black 1/8" holes. Any suggestions short of painting the bumper on how to fill those holes?
I ran my Infiniti for 4+ years without a front plate. I was stopped once, but the judge told me keep it with me and to place it on the dash before the officer comes to your car. The front plate law is vague and for that reason, usually not enforced.
Now, how to get rid of those holes?

Did the judge dismiss the ticket? I was not aware that there was any ambiguity about the law that requires front plates in Texas (but I no longer live there). I can understand that if there are extenuating circumstances there might be some leniency (such as recently moving from another state where there are no holes pre-drilled for a plate).

Reponse: Front license plate removal

Yes, he did. Amazing!

Dallas here. Bought my 4.6 in Norman this fall and told them not to install. I think Huffins in towns isn't putting them one unless requested either.

Pretty sure that once you drill, you are hosed. Sorry.

I found some 3/16" black body plugs and will paint them to match, them pop them in. I will post pics as soon as I get it done.

BTW- The Houston/Conroe dealer was adamant that they HAD to install front plate holders before I could drive off. However, they used 1" screws which put 2 more little dings in the front area. Now I have 3 to plug and 2 to fix.
It sure looks GREAT without that front plate.

I have a Black on Black without the front plate but because it is black nothing shows. I keep the front plate inthe trunk in case anyone ever stops me. Strangely enough I also drove an Infiniti 45 before this car.
