2011 4.6 Cruise Control "SCC Set condition not met"

Good Morning,

Last week I picked up a 2011 Genesis Sedan 4.6, everything worked well on test drive and last week...

THis morning, on my 40+ mile commute on 476/95/495 to Delaware from King of Prussia PA to Wimlington De... I attempted to set the cruise control.

with plenty of room in front of me (no cars for quite a while.. 1/4 mile or so)

Hit the Cruise Button (light on dash indicted Cruise)
Hit Set button...

Received "SCC SET condition not met"....with the icon of a car.. .and a speedometer...with an exclamation point

is there a speed limit on setting the cruise? Or is there an issue here?

Approx 80 or so on the speedo (no lectures please).

What does the owner's manual say about max speed limit you can engage the adaptive cruise control?

Think it said 113 MPH was the upper limit on setting... I was no where near that.

I had the same experience. The issue is that the ESC traction control has to be enabled for the Adaptive Cruise Control to work. So just make sure you haven't pressed the ESC Off (it is easy to accidentally disable the ESC, it's button is next to the lane departure warning button) and the SCC condition will be met. This is documented in the manual, but it is pretty deeply buried in there. . Post back if this addresses your issue.

Interesting and good to know.

I don't think it was disables , although I have been known to turn it off upon occasion,

I don't remember that light on the dash.

Interestingly enough, I didn't have the problem o the way home...and the ESC was ON.

I'll check on way to work today.

YES... that seems to have been the issue.

Was able to set Cruise at ...above the stated speed limit... but before the maximum allowable without issue.

Disables ESC.. and then tried it at 75 or so... got the "SCC"

You have to be going faster then I would think 20 to initially set cruise control, if for any reason you come to a stop, such as traffic light and the car see a car infront of you stopping it will then pop up that warning. and shut down cc.

when driving, the warning light comes on with no error...Couldn't take a pic while driving When stopped and turned the cruise on on I was able to see the error SCC Set Condition not met. Put an ODB reader on it and there were no error codes.

SCC Set condition not met

Driving downt the highway, go to set the cruise and the I get an error light and the adaptive cruise doesn't work. and I get no response. When I stop I turn the cruise back on and the SCC Set condition not met as shown below... By braking system is fine, scanned for errors and got nothing...Any have any ideas on what is causing it?

Disconnect the battery and wait 1 or 2 minutes.

Well, you can't engage cruise at rest, so that could be the cause of the light...

When driving the light next to the D comes on and cruise will not set. When I first got the error I was driving on the highway, got the error light (manual says contact your dealer, which I hate doing), then I stopped turned on SCC had the error light and text as shown.

I have 2013 genesis and I tried turning cruise control and it said scc set condition not met with a exlemation point and a car with 3 lines under it. Anybody know how to get cruise working?
