  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I called two different dealer's service departments to find out what TSBs had been done to my 2010 4.6. Both times I got airhead receptionists who told me they could only give me information on service that was done at their dealerships.

I signed up for one week at Hyundaitechinfo.com but I can't find the area where I enter my VIN and get my service history.

Is it hidden somewhere?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
In my experience, owners' vehicle service history is not maintained centrally by Hyundai. The reps you spoke with may or may not be airheads, but they were correct in indicating that each dealer maintains records separately and can't see other dealers' records.

It looks to me like the Hyundai Service Website only tells you what TSB's exist, but not whether they have been taken care of for you particular car:

"This site contains service information exclusively
applicable for Hyundai vehicles sold in the United States.
After signing up you will have access to:
- Shop Manuals
- Electrical Troubleshooting Manuals
- Technical Service Bulletins"

...Notice it doesn't say anything about your individual service records.

I don't have access anymore since they started charging for it, but IIRC it was under "Telematics". Obviously, you need your VIN.

You can also call Hyundai Motor America's Customer Assistant Center toll-free at 1-800-633-5151.

New member here. I purchased my '11 Genesis 3.8 four weeks ago. I opted to email Hyundai with the same concerns. They were very prompt with their response.

There does not appear to be a 'telematics' option anywhere I can find on the page.

Maybe they took it out when they started charging for the site.

Shaggydee, what email address did you use and what were your concerns that they responded to?

Thanks

Rhubarb, the below is a c & p from their reply back. My initial email correspondence was to a different email address and in turn, they provided me with the address below (in bold). I hope that this helps.

Not quite sure if the question was directed to me but if so, the CSR mentioned that all recalls and TSB's had been complied with, in other words, not VERY specific by my definition.
Soon, I'll be bringing it in for the dreaded 'engine rattle' and at that time, I'll ask the service writer the same question(s).
