  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Megan coilovers - don't fit
Megan springs - don't exist
Ark coilovers - don't make anymore
Ark springs for 08+ - sold out, warehouse doesn't believe they're getting anymore
M2 Performance springs - they don't make springs for the sedan; incorrectly labeled on websites
H&R springs for 08+ - discontinued model last year; incorrectly posted on many drop ship websites

Eibach claims to not have springs for the car, but the rksport genesis sedan from sema a few years back is reported to have used eibach. I'll contact them tomorrow to see what they used.

BC coilovers are the last company to try before I start looking at Korean sites to see if I can find something.

Signed,
Pissed off matte black 13 RSpec sedan with 19inch bbs ch-r wheels coming on Friday

Garcia factory I-one coilovers. SMA coils, if they are still around.

You could always just bag it :)

Thanks, already went there and I'm waiting on a response. Their US address is only about 30 minutes away from me but they don't have a phone number and I doubt they're anything more than an address to legitimize themselves in the states. All their stuff is probably special order from Korea, which I'll have to do if BC comes up empty. ...and that'll probably be a nice 2 month wait.

Garcia Factory mentioned above is another KDM option, but I don't want an adjustable air ride suspension.

I know we're a small segment but I really can't believe that it's this difficult to find a simple spring set - at a minimum. A 400+hp 5.0 V8 rwd sport sedan that has zero tuner help. Zero. It's unreal. Forget asking a few bolt ons from any reputable performance company, we can't even find springs. Springs man. Springs.

On an unrelated note. I beat my last car - a Chrysler 300 SRT8 - on a hwy pull the other day. He didn't have a corsa exhaust like I had but he had some aftermarket crap. Still pretty impressed with they rspec, just kind of wish it didn't sound like a Camry.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Quoting myself here, but at least that guy can go to any of the 1000 dodge tuners out there and destroy me next time.

OK enough talking to myself... /end rant ...for now

FYI... BC coilovers don't work either.

I hate when companies use US addresses (which itself is fine) but they don't follow up when you try to contact them.

When you say they don't work can you elaborate further?

They didnt know that hyundai changed suspensions mid model. They will fit for the 2009-11 models i believe. Maybe 2012? Anyways not for 13+

To their credit theyre really interested in getting a car in to see about fitment. If anyone live in Orlando.

And for strictly springs, as of right now it there are zero springs for ANY sedan 09+

Yup. And thats exactly whats happened. No response to my email. No phone contact.

Any luck/update on your suspension search??

hey guy just an update i got an email from Keith Ozzimo at AccAir suspensions, i was asking about a full coilover/bag kit for the sedan since they carry one for the coupe and this is what he told me....(copied and pasted from my email)

"I just came across your message about a kit for the 2012 Genesis Sedan. We actually have a shop that is testing out the TWR kit for the Genesis Sedan as we speak. We should have installation photos throughout the entire process, so I will definitely keep you posted on the process! When are you hoping to get started?"

I recall reading (somewhere) of a Genesis owner who located and installed a set of lowering springs and remarked they not only lowered the center of gravity a little, but, also improved the ride a tad.

This was a while ago and I can't remember the source.

Gotta tell you I am desperate for a set of springs and would welcome any lead that surfaces.

I'm not looking for a radical drop, just enough to improve the body roll and give the car an aggressive stance.

My old G8 had a full BC coil-over suspension so I'm no stranger to a firm ride, however I do not want to go to that length to lower my Rspec.

Any info would be appreciated. PM me if a set can be had only through a black op.

I live in Tampa, have reached out to BC Coil overs and looks like i should be able to take my car to their facility in Orlando to help work on a test fitment for 13-14 Genesis Sedan.

Just waiting on the return contact from them regarding what day & time their R&D team wants me to come over.

I thought the BC coils for '09-12 would fit '13-14 no? Did the suspension change that much from '12 to '13?

They are not the same. Suspension is just different enough on the 13 not to work.

That's wild, I really had no idea:o Some oem suspension components are still compatible I hope.

Stumbled upon this thread and instantly got depressed as I feel your pain of having no suspension options. I have a 2015 sedan and all the mainstream suspension manufacturers I've reached out to so far sound like they have nothing in the pipe in regards to springs, citing the lack of interest. Makes me kinda wish I got the 2015 lexus gs350 I was debating with myself to buy instead. If I knew there would be such a lack of aftermarket interest I would've chosen another platform. Oh well.
