• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Cloudy appearance

Gofast just so you know im still waiting on those pics man i want to see her. oh yea did you name her yet?

and i highly recomend getting a polisher to remove old wax. and check out autogeek.com they have lots of how to vods for car care.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Well the good news is, that after 2 good baths with the two bucket/foam methods and really good buffing with micro towels, I can no longer see the cloudy appearance. There are no swirls either, and thanks for the tip mikec about the fabric softner, windows look so much better as well. :D:D:D.

Now, I tried to download some pictures, but they were too large 1600/1200? I tried everything to get to the 1000/800, whatever is needed to download on this forum, but could not change it. So I guess I need to change the setting on my camera, and take some more photo's. My dumb ass is still working on it:mad: Any help with size settings would be appreciated, the way I see it, the larger numbers allow you to make the picture larger and still be in focus, am I right? Sorry, you got a beginner here with photography, if it's not a point and shoot I'm pretty well screwed :o

I have never put a name with my car's in the past except for my first car which was a 1951 Chevy coupe, and her name was "Old Betsy". When you made a sharp right hand turn the driver door would fly open, pretty cool car for a first car.

.
Download a freeware picture editor like Gimp at www.gimp.org/
After you open the image with Gimp,
  • Select "Image" from Tool Bar menu
  • Select "Scale" to adjust the resolution
  • Select "File" and do a Save As (rename the pic to not overlay existing picture).

@gofast

Use http://imgur.com/ ......just drag and drop pictures onto their web and click green button "Start Upload" ....once the pictures is uploaded, you will see options in upper/right hand corner "Add Title/Description · Edit image" ....click on "Edit image" and resize your pics. For posting them on forum, don't go bigger than 1200xwhatever pixels.

You can drag and drop many pictures at the same time, you'll like it :)

gofast, another (?simpler?) way, if you are using windows 7or 8 PC, you can right click on image on your PC -> EDIT it should open your image in the "Paint" app.

From the top left menu you should see the Paste icon, in the next section you should see "Resize", click on that icon and type 50 in both horizontal and vertical, click OK.

Click on the menu icon (just above the Paste icon), do save as, JPEG picture and you should be able to upload that image.

It seems we are all looking forward to seeing you pictures... ;)

Thank you Mark_888, daviderle and dareckbmw for the information, if I get home in time tonight I will see which one is easiest and go from there. I will post my black/black 2013 R-spec, but it looks like so many other stock R-specs. By the way, I ordered my "Wing" set yestserday, I.m excited to get those on, gonna leave the hood alone. Maybe super glue that sucker;) on the dash, LOL!! Just kidding, better taste than that, I picked the Genny didn't I?

Gimp is a full scale photo editor, like Adobe Photoshop. Gimp is completely free, since it is a GNU General Public License application. You can crop photos, adjust color, contrast, blur your license plate, etc.

To some 'it is just a car', but I wholeheartedly disagree, and here is the proof:

There is only one Black R-Spec named <Insert Name Here> (where “old Betsy” used to be) which is driven by gofast.

Maybe that is just me, but I think all our beauties, being it the 3.8, 4.6, 5.0 in whichever trim, are unique in their own way and most of us love to see pictures to share in the pride and joy of others take in their "Geni"… :)

OK damnit, I,m getting pissed. I downloaded Gimp Photo Editor like Mark_888 suggested, and it works great, thank you Mark. Trouble is, when I try to upload the pics, it states they are too large. I down sized to 840x600 and they are still too large when I try two at a time. I can download one pic, but that is all it will allow. What gives? Also why is it some pictures come up on a thread and others you have to click on a link? Guess my age is showing :o

I put up a little video tutorial for ya, how to upload/ edit and generate simple or multiple links with BB codes to your pictures :)

Editing and posting pictures

Nice on line image hosting site.
One stop shop too. i.e. sizing, upload, etc.

Yep, I host all my pictures at imgur.com
Never had any "bandwidth exceeded" thing or asking to "upgrade" my account, like I used to with imageshock or photobucket.
