  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Delivery time from date of order:

anyway... I talked to the local dealer and they said no they would not go after another car in another state. If they did I would have to pay for the cost of transport. I would probably do that if it wasn't to expensive, but it seems like they wont. Not sure if its the dealer here or the one in El Paso that will not give up the car. If I have to wait much longer I just might wait to get a 2016.

I know this is a bit confusing, but the 2016's probably will not be available for another 15 months (fall of 2015).

I am not sure what you mean by "drop ship" or "factory order." I would think Genesis fleet cars for the USA must be ordered from the factory by, and imported by, Hyundai Motor America into one of their ports of entry. Obviously, a fleet order would not go to a dealer first and would be sold directly by HMA to the fleet purchaser.

If you have an existing relationship with Hyundai Fleet/a Fleet Management Company, they/you can order cars directly to spec. You'll still need a dealership to floor the car, so it'll be delivered to them. They'll also still get PDI money from HMA.

I don't think you can circumvent freight charges unless you are a HMA employee, which I believe are eligible for port/HQ delivery.
