Hi guys. So I recently upgrade all for rotors and pads for my 2011 Hyundai genesis to get better stopping power and looks. As we all know the oem rotor hubs are rusty and look nasty and we all want to upgrade our rotors and pads. The first thing we do is look at ebay. The problem with ebay is a lot of companies take a rotor and drill holes in themselves and not properly causing future cracking etc. I wanted a company that makes a reliable safe product that works. I contacted a company called "XTREME STOP" based out of Toronto, Canada. I received a full set of cross drilled slotted rotors with premium carbon metallic compound pads. The installation was a breeze and did them myself. I chose http://www.xtremestop.com/ because their rotors are made in Canada and NOT CHINA, dissipate heat gases and water, are 30 percent cooler than oem rotors, eliminate brake fade, extend rotor life, are coated to resist rust, maximize panic braking power and have superior stopping distances in wet and dry conditions. They are also ISO 001-2008 Certified and each rotor comes with a quality control certificate. This company is serous about quality. These rotors are the REAL DEAL! Check them out pictures below and check them out at

Wow those look good....were they expensive?

They are aren't too expensive. They are reasonably priced and worth it compared to the fakes on ebay and the overpriced brembos. Check them out at xtremestop.com. Theyll price you out a set.

For what it's worth, 3 of their advertising bullet points are false.

-Modern street pads do not produce gasses.
-It does not extend rotor and pad life, technically these types of rotors usually end up reducing pad life.
-No, they don't increase friction. The loss of surface area is more detrimental than a pad that isn't perfectly clean.

Cross drilled and slotted rotors are going to just be for looks. The only performance advantage these can offer you is lighter weight, which means slightly less drivetrain loss and less rotational mass to stop in braking. Both worthy points, but this isn't exactly a car that would see those put to much use. I cede back to the point of aesthetics. They don't look bad. :p

Agreed...not going to help with performance. One other benefit of slotted and drilled rotors is heat dissipation, but that only applies if you are racing or auto crossing. So no benefit except for looks. Ironically, one of the better things about a Genesis is its stopping power. I have an R-Spec and made a semi emergency stop and was absolutely blown away by the stopping power of the brakes. And my previous car was a Jaguar XFR, so I've had performance oriented cars before.

You car looks AWESOME...I passed on a white genesis locally because I didn't want a white one. If I had seen your car first I would have bought a white one:):)

Im not here to fight guys lol but all the info from xtremestop is verified. Yes they are best for a track car but do help significantly vs the oem set up. I had alot of brake fade, poor braking and lots of break dust from the oem rotors. Also the hub on hyundai rotors are all rusty looking which looks nasty on a car like this. As for the rspec genesis sedan it has larger front rotors which helps too. Ive had brembos which were ok but overpriced and these do a much better job especially when your riding on large 20 inch wheels with 255 series tires.

Thanks for the compliment on my car. I love white cars and i feel white really suits this car perfectly. I just wish I could find a way to get more power out of the 2011 non direct injected 3.8l.

Yeah, there are definitely better options out there from more reputable companies. But i personally would only do slotted. I went with EBC rotors and pads myself.
