  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I believe I am the first one on this site to own one.:p

Finally arrived and I picked her up this morning. Holy moly, what a car. Really am flabbergasted by everything. Found another like for the Genesis. :D I never used my fob to unlock the doors, always the button on the door hence the folding mirrors never folded. They now have made it so if you use the door button to unlock the mirrors fold and unfold.

Took some quick pictures in my yard.

Not sure if this is available in the USA but here is a picture of the Suede Headliner on the 5.0 Ultimate.

Here is another cool feature on the CDN model. We get a credit card size key fob which is meant to be put in your wallet so no bulky fob to carry around plus you never forget your wallet. ;)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Wow !

Suweeeet!! :)

Awesome color!

I'm fine with our standard headliner, but I would like the wallet key fob. Having said that, USA models are still a better value than Canadian ones. Off the top of my head, Canadian models don't get:

-Pandora
-AHA Radio
-BlueLink (which I will renew because cooling your car when leaving the office via your smartphone is fantastic)

Congrats on the new Gen though!!!

Awesome color and congrats on the new ride. Thank You for taking the time to post up some pics. Much appreciated...

Holy Moly is right! Beautiful.... ;)

I like the rear badging with the "TAU V8" and Wings as well as the side "V8" badging - is that all OEM stock in Canada?

Not stock, in fact the CDN model has the exact same badging as the US. I had purchased all this a while back so it was sitting in my garage ready for when I took delivery. I went straight from the dealer to my place which is about 4 miles and rebadged the entire car in about 30mins. :D My method is to heat and just peel off by hand. ;) The V8 is from AUDI and the TAU was taken from the TITANIUM model in Ford. FYI, all badges were purchased on eBay. Now all I need is a nice license plate frame. Thanks for the compliment, I really think it looks fantastic myself.

That's a gorgeous ride. Congrats, man!!!

Here is a pick of the stock DRL on the CDN model where DRL's are mandatory. First pic is with headlights off. Second pic is with headlights and fog lights on.

Very nice. Love the color. Really don't understand why they don't offer the 5.0 AWD here in the states.

Lucky Bucky. Amazing car... Now, it will not win as many straight line races as a gen one 5.0... But wow, all the cool stuff and luxury.

Wonder how someone can gray market one into the states?

The theory is it would push already poor gas mileage into the gas guzzler penalty.

One thing I really notice is how much less pedal I need to apply to make her move. There is an evident amount of torque difference at lower regime or a tranny reprogram or a combo of both. Definitely an improvement and feels more powerful than my 2012 RSpec. Improved ride comfort, and quietness are very evident, almost like a completely different car, oh wait, it is

As the headlight module looks identical to the US version, it would seem that a switch from the US amber DRL's to the Canada LED brow DRl's could be just as simple as some sort of electronic support module swap? Does your control stalk also have a DRL off position?

The law says they need to be on at all times and Hyundai offers no means to turn them off on the CDN models so no, there is no off position. The left stalk is basically headlight and foglight control, nothing more. All models here are the same as all models here get the fog lights as standard.

Normally I'm not one who likes badge mix and matching from different models, but I really like what you did!

Dude, that's bad ass!! Consider me jealous.

AWD 5.0 trumps all those things if you get snow

OP: Where did you get the TAU 5.0 badge. That is sweet!

Hehe for those of us in the Sun Belt, I'm sure most of us would rather cool down our cars from our smartphones in those triple digit summers!
