If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've seen factory all weather mats specified for RWD or AWD. Anybody know what differences would exist between the RWD and AWD versions of the car that would require separate floor mats?

Depending on where the transfer case is located I can see a need for different floor mats.

I wouldn't be surprised if the center transmission tunnel is a tad wider in AWD cars to make room for the front driveshaft. That means narrower foot wells and thus narrower floor mats. Take a look at the sales brochures for AWD vs. RWD and see if the "interior volume" numbers differ... a wider tunnel in AWD drive cars will reduce interior volume slightly.

FYI the Weather tech Digital fit floor mats are now available for the 2015 Genesis for rear drive only so far. There appears to be a definite difference between the AWD and RWD mats. Personally I was waiting for them to available for the AWD as I had them on my prior Genesis and they were very good. I wound up buying the OEM all weather mats because I remember having to wait a long time for them to ready for my 2011 and I don’t think they’ll have them for the AWD before winter sets in. The OEMs are nothing to write home about.

Please let me know if you see the AWD versions come available.

What is the use of having a luxury car if you must replace the carpet mats with rubber ones? Just have you servants shampoo the carpet mats a few times per year.

I'll have to check the fitment on my Digital Fit Floor mats. I have the 5.0 AWD that my dealership and had them include the mats. Looked like a good fit but will take pics in the morning.

Could it be that Canada has access to a different set of Weather Tech mats? Last I knew they were not available for the AWD models here in the states. They just became available for RWD recently. How long have you had your car? Yes I would like to see come pictures.

Possibly. I just picked up the 5.0 AWD yesterday. Here are pics of the front and back mats.

I have never been a fan of the weather tech floormats but we don't get a lot of snow where I live. They appear to be beneficial in areas that do get lots of snow though.

My car came with the OEM weather mats and they are simple to keep clean. I keep a small whisk broom in the trunk. Takes just a few minutes to pull them out, whisk them off & re-install them. Helps keep the sand down here in Florida from getting into the carpet. I will eventually pick up a set of Weather Techs but for now, the OEM ones will do.

I got worried that the Weathertechs wouldn’t be ready till after the bad weather came so I went ahead and purchased the OEM all weather. I’m kind of sorry I did now that they are available because I would have preferred them. So I’ll just keep these till next year and get the Weathtechs then. Actually if I lived in a warmer climate I would never use the all weather mats. I much prefer the look of the original carpeted mats but they would surely take a beating here allow and access to the cars carpet.

The front floor liners are now available at Weather Tech for the 2015 AWD Genesis. Just in time for winter snow. I will be getting a set.

Rears are available as well (at least the Digital Fit ones) - just ordered them.

@Jonjon72- These look great! Where did you buy it from? Can you send me the link? Is it all weather?

Those are original Hyundai all weather mats for the Canadian model unfortunately only available in Canada for some strange reason. Being they are for the CDN model they obviously only fit the AWD model as this is all that is available here. See here http://www.hyundaicanada.com/Pages/showroom/Accessories.aspx?model=genesis Pretty much made like digital fit Weathertech but much higher end.

Looks like they added something new, a little farther down on the link there is something called a "concealed trunk storage tray", might need to order one. :D

But those "higher end" mats also don't seem to be made of as durable a material as the WeatherTechs - they do look nice, but seem like they'd stain and get dirty in salty, snowy weather and not be able to be rinsed off with water?

Don't misunderstand what Weathertech is offering. They are floor liners. The ride up the sides of the carpet a bit and contain slush and liquid. I had a pair in my last car before I got my Genesis. They are floor liners, not floor mats.

Okay, I'm jealous of the Canadian accessories again... I'd like more info on the Concealed Storage Trunk Tray. It is hard to see in the picture on the site.

In the US we have that block on top of the spare for the tools, but a concealed storage area would be kind of neat if it replaces the tool organizer and has additional space.

I know exactly what Weathertech is as I had them in my 2010 and 12. Also have them in my F150, my wifes Cube and my daughters Yaris. Basically a mix of plastic/rubber which makes them semi rigid for lack of a better word. The Hyundai ones are made the same way with high sides all around to form basically a bowl to contain water/slush but the finish is much better not to mention better looking. Yes they are cleaned easily and are very slip resistant unlike the Weathertechs. In the photo they look like they are of some type of carpeted material but this is a rubberized non slip surface which looks fantastic. As for durability I would think they are pretty close in comparison, only difference is the Hyundai ones do it in style. Not kicking Weathertech as they do make a great product but the car ends up looking like and old style pickup with vinyl floors, not exactly a luxury look if you know what I mean. ;) They do suit the F150 quite well though. :D
