  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

According to the manual, the L & R buttons for adjusting the mirrors should be in the neutral position to stop the mirrors from tilting (I don't want them to tilt down when I put the car in reverse).
I can't find "neutral" on the switch. When I press left, there is a dash pointing to the left and when I press right there's a dash pointing to the right. I can't seem to choose a "middle or neutral" position.
Anyone else run into this.

thanks

I'm not sure atm, but I think if you press the lit button again it will deactivate it , and put you in neutral.

It may be able to be disabled in the settings menu on the driver information. i really like the tilt down.

I turned mine off as well. It is as described above. I like to see straight back, not look at the ground. I do like the "Top View" on the back-up camera when parting up against those parking concrete stops.

I wish it also had a front camera with a top view for the same reason!

I agree. Something we should bring up to them for future changes.

Is this feature available on all trims of the 2015? I can't get mine to tilt down at all when reversing.

Page 3-38 of the owners manual describes it better than I can. :)

From the manual:

Reverse parking aid function:

When you move the shift lever to the
R (Reverse) position, the outside
rearview mirror(s) will rotate downwards
to aid with driving in reverse.
The position of the outside rearview
mirror switch (1) determines whether
or not the mirrors will move:

Left/Right : When either the L (Left) or
R (Right) switch is selected,
both outside rearview
mirrors will move.

Neutral :When neither switch is selected,
the outside rearview mirrors
will not move.

The outside rearview mirrors will
automatically revert to their original
positions if any of the following occur:

• The Engine Start/Stop button is
pressed to either the OFF position
or the ACC position.

• The shift lever is moved to any
position except R (Reverse).

• The remote control outside rearview
mirror switch is not selected.

Thanks for the post :) Strangely, I've tried this in both L and R positions and I've never had my mirrors rotate downwards. Hence I wondered if this is trim specific (or even region specific).
