Suggestion on build dates and car issues

I apologize if this topic has come up before. However, I notice with topics like the sunroof rattle, leaky trunk after rain, electronic quirks we get very helpful responses. Wouldn't it be useful to advise the build date on the car so we can all establish an additional data point? This way if a component or installation technique changes we might have more information if this is a new or old problem, one solved, or a new one. So when you mention the problem, quirk, etc. add the build date.

How about adding this to your signature like I just did. (see below) At least this gives us some reference on any subject.

User CP > Edit Signature. Thanx - I think if more would do it, communication among owners would be a little more accurate and helpful.
