  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I picked up my car (finally after months of research and saving) last Friday. It has been a pleasure to drive this week. Today for the first time, when I got out and locked the doors the passenger side mirror did not fold in. I got back in and checked from auto to manually folding in and it doesn't move. The driver side works fine. I will be checking in with the dealer. Hopefully, they will prove to be good on the service side.

Didn't you check these things before receiving it? I checked every system i could. Even things like climate control ducts move quietly and smoothly between zones. They thought i was odd..but i know everything works :)

Since only ONE of yours is not folding I suspect the following will be useless but FWIW if you look at posts under my name - allisondbl - you will see a whole discussion on my version of this problem, solved with the wonderful help of the denizens of this board.

The simple issue FOR ME turned out to be that the mirrors will fold if you lock the car A) from the FOB and B) from the OUTSIDE BUTTON on the door, but will NOT fold the mirrors if you lock from the button INSIDE the door (and also won't arm the auto-open-if-you-stand-behind-it-with-the-fob trunk).

Again, probably useless for you but provided in case it does help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try the fob. I was trying the button inside the door to make them fold in. As to the first response, the mirror did fold in the first 5 days. It just stppoed doing it yesterday. I am going to get the dealership to look at it.
