Was at a light with a Suzuki GSXr and floored it after some playful banter before the light. I took him by surprise and he followed me to the next area to ask me said question above. He said, "to honest, I did not expect that at all." He then complimented me and we continued our shortage ways. Talk about making your evening...

People underestimate the power of the Genesis. I have a similar story but with a Camry (lol), he caught up with me at the next red light after some serious seconds and his face was all like, "what the HELL was that?!" 😂

shortage way: a surface street that runs parallel to a limited access highway. usually 2 lane 1 way, one on each side of the highway. often an on/off ramp at every light/cross street. e.g, 183 from DFW to downtown Dallas. google maps shows details.

I was just getting on the interstate last night behind a slow moving semi truck and a Nissan Titan. When the time was right both the titan and I shot over a lane and let er buck.
He did NOT look pleased that a unknown V6 4 door just blew past his V8 puckup truck.

One of my friends, who I often meet up with to work out, drives an Audi S6. I mentioned to him that I was buying a Genesis, but he didn't know much about the car.
When he first saw my Genesis, he was very impressed. He must have spent over 15 minutes checking the car out. He said that the trunk badge helped "sell" the car's image. He guessed that the badge cost me $100.
Shortly after, we were invited to a party at an Estate in Lake Forest. I drove him and his wife to the party, and he made the joke that I should have worn one of those driver's caps. ...... No more guff about my crappy cars.
