  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Mid-year Refresh Suggestions

Foglights could easily be done as a dealer installed option. Hard to believe HMA hasn't yet done this, given all the feedback.

The fog lights should be standard fare across the line regardless of package just like on the Canadian models. Heck, while they are at it they should also make the real wood dash standard across the board again just like the Canadian models.

Wake up Hyundai, how about Bluelink in Canada? You have been promising this in the future however that was 3 years ago and still nada.

Yes i have and it works very well but what happens when you're driving (on the road) and you want to call up a saved prior route. You can't unless you pull over and manually do it. I used to be able to this on my 2011 very easy. Just say "navigate" and the given name of the route.
I consider this this a serious oversight.

You can say "Previous Points" or "Previous Destinations" and it will bring up a numbered list. At that point you just state the number for the one you want. Am I missing something?

Am I missing something?

I think you are. Let’s say for an example I’m driving on the parkway doing about 70 and I want to call up prior destination. With my older Genesis I would just hit the speech button and say “Navigate to Bob” and never even take my eyes off the road. Don’t get me wrong I like looking at the nice high res display but not while doing 70 on the parkway. I feel the old method contributed more toward avoiding driver distraction which is becoming more of problem with as our cars as they become more complex and with the claim of reducing visual distraction the opposite is actually true. Although I very much enjoy the high tech features my car offers I’m very particular about taking my eyes off the road. For me that method only works if there’s another person in the car to search the screen for the desired entry. Depending on how many entries there are could take a fair amount of visual commitment.

In this instance, "Bob" is listed in your address book? I have used the voice commands without an issue regarding pulling up POI's, previous destinations or searches.

I don’t think we’re on the same wavelength. I have also used these options with success. Each one requires some visual verification for acceptance and for me this represents a step backwards. Sometimes simpler is better and such is the case for driving distractions. I have no problems with commands that don’t require visual conformation like “FM 109.7” or “Jukebox Music” and so forth. When I have to look at screen while driving for confirmation of a command I have to question the engineering strategy to it. I know it’s minor annoyance but a valid one.

There is an option for nav response / feedback. Not sure if this could alleviate your issue with always having to confirm your choice or request.

Ernie3647, I think you need to change the Voice Recognition from Beginner to Expert. Go to the Settings menu then select Voice Recognition then Expert. When you have it set to Expert mode, it will not provide any prompts. I haven't tried this yet so not sure if this will fix your issue or not. Please let us know.

Thanks yes I do have it that way.
