  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For some reason, I'm not allowed to post in the Hyundai Genesis News forum, so I will post this here.

I check www.mouseprint.org every week, and they posted on the Hyundai Assurance plan. (You know which one - lose your job in the first year and turn your car in). Well mouseprint did read the mouse print and found that the Hyundai Assurance Plan may not be what you thought it was. Read it yourself in www.mouseprint.org

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I just read the terms and conditions on the website, and it is exactly what I thought it was. And every single one of the restrictions seems very reasonable to me. I can't imagine why anyone would complain about the deal.

The website complains that Hyundai did not explain all the details in their commercials. Maybe that is because when you pay $3 million for a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl, you don't have a lot time to explain every single detail.

When I purchased my Hyundai I had to sign a waiver that I understood that the Assurance plan did not apply to me because my car was not financed or leased.

A lot of people think that those who complain about the suspension (myself and others) are crybabies, or have some ulterior motive, but complaining about the very generous Hyundai Assurance Plan is truly one of the most absurd things I have ever heard of.

I'll give you my Personal Assurance Plan. If you pay for your car in full and lose your job or otherwise wish to return the car in the first year, you may give the car to me and I will accept it without requiring you to make any additional payments, nor will you be billed for any additional fees.

That critique on the Assurance plan is simply BS, plain and simple. It is the classic "talk radio" ploy where:

1) You make a completely true statement e.g. "The Hyundai Assurance Plan is not a refund or reimbursement plan." But you imply this is being stated by <the slam-ee>, which it isn't.

2) Then you also "truthfully" state that some people may think it is such a plan (You figure there is gonna be someone out there that will think this)

3) Then you read the Assurance plan to prove how it truly is not a reimbursement plan.

4) So, it seems like Hyundai is somehow trying to pull one over on the public.

Sad thing is, these tactics often work.

So people want things spelled out for them at all times and dont want to be bothered by reading or understanding.

I too believe the terms to be fair. I think also the "added' part to be beneficial. At least Hyundai is thinking out of the box to try an lure customers versus trying to ask someone else to help them (doH).

This addresses one of my concerns in the economy. I am hesitant to spend the money worrying about the slowing (stopped?) economy.

Did Hyundai recently change the plan?

I saw a report on FoxNews this morning stating they would pay 3 notes for you while you look for work. If you haven't found work in 90 days, they would then buy it back. Was it like that from the beginning, or is that an addendum?

In any event, it's a no lose proposition, and too cut and dried to have loopholes.

that is correct its a addendum to the current assurance plan already in place. i got email this morning.

Isn't it fun to watch Hyundai proactively do creative things to create the place they desire within the market? The other bigshot companies eventually won't know what hit 'em...

The Hyundai Assurance Plan is so successful that head of Marketing at HMA who came up with the idea has already asked his boss for a bigger desk.

LOL on that one! A no brainer when you think of it. Give folks a chance to keep their car, then jump in and provide full assistance if, and only if needed.
