  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What do you guys think of the new truck concept that Hyundai unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Front end looks pretty good. However, tailpipes in the corners of the bumpers might look stylish, but is really stupid on a truck... so of course that will never make production. At least it looks better than the new Tacoma.

But also seems to be smaller than a Subaru Brat. If you cannot fit a washer and dryer in the back, or a 70" TV, or safely transport a three-seat couch, then what's the point.

Hyundai says that the truck features an expandable bed that "when fully extended, Santa Cruz’s bed length is similar to a mid-size pickup, providing the ability to carry much more than its compact footprint would suggest, yet only when needed." It also has seating for five people.

Me likey!!!!

I think it's genius now that all new trucks are absolutely enormous. Most people just need something they could throw bags of yard waste in, take a few bikes somewhere, tow a small single axel boat trailer, load up a lawn mower, pull the roots of a bush out of the lawn, and other similar tasks.

There is almost nothing available for that duty now, everything is hugely overkill on ability and price.
Very few people have a triple axel boat trailer that's going to come anywhere near the top end tow rating of the F150 and most surely don't have the $30,000 to spend on a entry level truck.

If hyundai can manage to not fvck it up I think they'll do well. I also don't think Hyundai can pull it off without butchering important features lol. So we'll see!
