Got what I felt was a good lease deal on a 2015 RWD Ultimate 2015 Red/Gray tonight.
0 down (and I mean not a penny out of pocket) - $499 per month. 3 years / 12k allowance per year.
Sticker was $50,330, negotiated down to $43,325.

How did I do? Car is freaking amazing. I test drove the v8 and after about 10 minutes I knew I was headed for multiple speeding tickets, so I settled on a decked out v6.

Congrats! Sounds like a pretty darn good price, not sure about the lease but sounds about right.

14% off MSRP is a good deal if it includes dealer fees and if you didn't qualify for the $1500 conquest cash. Enjoy the new ride!

$1500 conquest cash? I got something $1500 as I owned a competitor's car.

I just read about the conquest cash. Yep, I am an Infiniti owner, so I qualified for it. Are you saying it's not a good deal then? I basically got to the point where I was ready to walk out of the deal - couldn't get them to move any more. They included a free professional window tint as well. I mean I literally asked for another $250 off or I walk - they said sorry that's the best they could do. This red color is rare in Ohio.

Dude you just bought an awesome $50k car at a very good price, enjoy it. Considering the high residual you'll probably make out like a bandit if u decide to buy in 3 years (outside of your lease).

The last nice car I had was a 2007 Lexus LS460 L Exec edition. This one had the rear screen, ottoman, reclining rear seats, cool box, tray table, double paned glass, power close doors, etc.

You know what? The Hyundai's doors sound better when you close them. This car (and I'm not lying) is quieter at freeway speeds. The Lex sticker was $99,400 (I bought it way used for 1/3 that price) and wasn't as good as this car.

The fit/finish, tech, looks, etc. make this the nicest car I've ever owned. I can actually use the NAV while moving - with Lexus I had to buy (and install myself by removing the head unit) an additional product that temporarily allowed one to input directions while moving. The Lexus had a ABS actuator that clicked all the time, sticky dash (2007 recall), $125 oil changes, wind noise, Mark Levinson amps that would fail prematurely.

Toyota and Honda better get their act together as Hyundai is eating their lunch. For the same money I could have had a super-boring ES 300h with 1/2 the gadgets and 1/5th the fun to drive.

2002-2015 All Toyota/Lexus cars. RIP. :)

Congrats and welcome!! Looking pretty good all shiny and ready for showing it off!

Like the color. And not so common. Good choice.

A high residual on the lease is worse for buying the car at lease termination. It's great for lower lease payments but generally also means you could likely pay above market for the cat 36 months later.

This happens with BMW all the time - their lease deals can at times on certain cars be heavily subsidized with boosted residuals - nice payments, but makes purchasing the car at termination less beneficial.

That is an amazing deal. I got ripped off at Preston in Boardman OH. Paying $549 on that same lease and I put about 5k down. I'm an idiot.

Ok so this price includes $1500 conquest cash and $1500 lease bonus from the manufacturer. Assuming the dealer handling fee was $500, you got a discount of %9 off MSRP (43325+3000-500=45825/50330=91%), which is pretty much the Truecar pricing in my area. Definitely not a bad deal but maybe it could have been a little better. Still you got a great car for a reasonable price!

Looks like he got the V6 Ultimate and you have the V8. Plus if you leased your car when the car was just introduced there wouldn't be all these manufacturer incentives, lower money factor for the lease, and the dealers wouldn't negotiate on the price due to initial hype (high demand/low stock). So don't feel bad, it is not really apples to apples...

To be honest in 2018 I'll trade it in and get the 2018 model, which will have everything brand new again with full warranty. Life is too short to drive the same car for 5+ years IMO - if you're not a "car" person it doesn't matter as much - like my wife - we paid off her 2011 Sienna AWD limited and will keep it for 10 years probably. To each his own. I cannot believe how much I appreciate all the thought and engineering that went into this car. It came with a second set of all weather mats, cargo net, wheel locks.

Oh yeah - I can RECORD and pause / ff / rew XM/SIR radio. I about fell out of my seat when I saw that.

I couldn't get them to go any lower. Problem is the color choice; it's rare in Ohio. Nearest other red one was in Cincinnati, and there were only 5 in 250 miles. I think there was only one other ultimate package, and it was beige.

I think that plays a big factor - the black and white cars are more plentiful. That new blue color looks pretty sweet too. For me personally I was tired of silver/white/gray/black cars.

As a point of reference, another Hyundai dealer wanted $697 / month with 0 down for a 10k lease on an ultimate V8. Thought that deal was pretty bad so I passed.

Oh I hear ya, looking for a Montecito Blue with Gray interior myself and most cars in stock are white, black, and silver...

The blue is so striking and different that I almost just waited for them to transfer one over.
What I really wanted was red/black interior or blue/black - neither are options for this car unfortunately.

Dude, re-read my post. I said it helps because you can buy the car OUTSIDE of the lease agreement for a market price. I never said pay the residual off...

You'll love owning the red color! Looks great in all lights and as you said, way too many cars out there in silver, white, etc.
