  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is this 2011 4.6 for $21,900 a good deal?

I've done my homework and have looked through a bunch of threads you all have posted about reliability, 60k mile ownership experiences and what not. I've test drove a 2010 and really liked it. I wanted a black one with the brown leather and I found one.

The car is a certified pre-owned 2011 4.6 with 45,000 miles. The dealer says it was bought serviced and traded in for a new Genny from them. Still has 1yr/15k on the bumper to bumper warranty with roadside assistance, includes 100k power train. dealer is asking 21,900. Sound like a good deal or should I try to get them down a few more bucks? Also, I have my own financing. The car is located in Parkersburg WV.

Sounds like a decent deal.

Come down a grand or so... and get the extended HPP warranty for 1,200 - 1,500...

Read the Extended Warranty thread. B to B warranty is only really 3/36 as most electronics are excluded from 5/60. Get the HPP Platinum warranty as suggested above...maybe they'll throw it in the deal if you threaten to walk.

Also, at the risk of offending some, the brown (not tan) interior is much less desirable in the general marketplace IMO, so you might be able to push more on the price as there are fewer folks that want that. This could also impact your resale value so consider that as well.

Try to go down to sub $20,000. My 2011 4.6 with ~24,000KM(14,291.5 Miles) was $22,995. Wonderful car other than very minor hairline scratches on the front bumper.

I paid 20k even for a black CPO 4.6 tech with 51k and tan interior in early 2014. Surely you can work them down a bit and definitely go for the HPP platinum. If you're talking about the saddle interior I'm jealous because I like that more than my tan. :D

What color combo interior is this one? its not really tan in my eyes.

^^^ That would be tan interior...

Good info, I must have over looked the HPP warranty threads. The tan interior I believe is called cashmere. I personally like the saddle color so I never considered it a bargaining tool, good call thebells. Anything else I should look for when I go look/test drive it?

That car is about 3 grand higher than what it would be up here.

Seems high to me. That is only 4k less than what I paid for my 2010 3.8 CPO with 19k miles on it back in 2012. Saddle is the best interior for these cars but harder to find. Best of luck in your search.

Got mine about 6 months ago 2011 4.6 CPO for 20K from a Hyundai dealer. It had 36,000 miles. They were just about to send it to auction and I think that was a factor. Originally they wanted 24K. Good luck

Hmm, I bought my 2011 4.6 with 25k for $21k a full year ago. Same color combo which I really like. Not from dealer so I don't have 100k powertrain, and a couple of scratches on trunk. Your deal sounds a few grand high, unless you can get some extended warranty thrown in.

Well, I guess I'm part of the cool kids now. I talked them down to 21k with and added a 7yr 75,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for 1900. Probably didn't get the best deal, but I have looked for almost a year for that color combo and it was in excellent condition. They had all the maintenance records showing every oil changed done at the dealer. The salesman said he was the one who sold it when it was new for 43,900 to an 75 year old man... Do I 100% believe him, I'm still not sure. I will say when I got in the car and checked the XM presets, they consisted of smooth jazz, opera, and talk radio, either a true story or a clever marketing scheme. Either way, I am pleased with the car so far. It's getting clay bared and tinted this week a then I will post a few newbie pics.
