  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

"Caravan" from whiplash soundtrack really tests the highs and lows of this system. Best song i heard to appreciate all 14 or 17 speakers!

oh yeah the movie is pretty good too

I like...

Incubus- Sick Sad Little World
Modest Mouse- Dashboard
Disturbed- Down with the Sickness
System of a Down- Chop Suey

All sound great with the Lexicon system. :)

We have overlapping tastes (love SoaD and Disturbed) but I literally listen to everything.

I'll roll with the following for songs I think work great on Lexicon that aren't too heavy and really pop. I keep Surround ON and would have bass at 5 (due to sub otherwise max) and treble maxed:

Ronald Jenkees - From the Arrow Loop
Ten Walls - Walking with Elephants
Peter Gabriel - Heros
Peter Gabriel - Mirroball
Peter Gabriel - My Body is a Cage
Synkro - Lost Here
Seirious - Alone
Hybrid - Break My Soul
Ilan Bluestone - Sinai

If you have a better sub than stock...
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (Noctilucent Chillstep)
Mojo - Garden Walls

Obviously my tastes and other may hate but this is only the lighter stuff as I listen to all kinds of stuff from old Metal, to Country, to R&B/Rap, Classical, Drum and Bass, Jungle...better question is what don't I listen to.

Van Halen - Hot for Teacher
Heart - Barracuda and Magic Man

...at 25 or so volume on the Ultimate are incredible!

I would suspect then that your lists include Above & Beyond, Emma Hewitt and Dash Berlin.

I've heard Emma Hewitt and Dash Berlin but I have no songs in my collection. I find that the music I like is less about the style and more about the composition and complexity. There aren't very many artists that I like, just very specific songs.

If my fellow Ultimate owners want a real treat, forget all about using the Sirius XM, MP3, or bluetooth capabilities of playing music on the head unit.

Rip your music into FLAC files, or WAV files, buy a Fiio X3 player, small compact, and easy to navigate, and plug it in to the aux jack, and enjoy.

No matter what your preferences are musically, this is the way it was meant to be heard.

I got FLAC CD of Best of MTV Unplugged, Hotel California sounds awesome :)

For starters:
Fade, For You, Epiphany - Break the Cycle - Staind

Any of Styx greatest hits...

Followed by:
Fembot In A Wet T-Shirt - Joe's Garage - Frank Zappa
followed by:
On The Bus - Joe's Garage - Frank Zappa

And Pretty much anything by 1200 Micrograms (The Mayans, DMT, Magic Mushrooms, Renaissance Superman to name a few).

If I had a wish to burn, I would wish for my old 2009 Tech's audio system in my 2012. The '09 setup had so much more dynamic range ... and the bonus ability to make your ears bleed.
