  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We finished our Genesis V6 and V8 review and typically a month before we start I constantly follow owner issues and feedback about the cars. The review was posted up here:

When it came to this car we felt proud to drive it and hope it reflected in the video and was a tribute to current and future owners. We will be forwarding feedback from here and our review onto our Hyundai reps and product planners. If you have anything additional we missed feel free to post up here and we will forward it on.

Thanks again for sharing the pros and cons of the car.

Thanks for the review. Man those are some of the best photos I've seen. They put mine to shame lol.

Great review, video and photos. Thank you!

Your review was a pleasure to watch and is absolutely spot on regarding the driving experiences between the 3.8 & 5.0.

Nice picture indeed. It's in front of The Field Museum of Natural History in Chitown, right? ;)

The video was boring. I couldn't take it after the first 5 minutes.......

Great attention to the undercarriage. I really appreciate seeing what it looks like from the underside.

They did a really well-considered job of maximizing airflow underneath.

+1 - the "mechanic" seemed very unfamiliar with the car's mechanicals (as did the reviewer at times)...

enjoyed the video, loved the editing, best i've seen

A negative about the ability of the voice commands to understand addresses. That is an important part of technology for which other manufacturers have done much better.

I do concur with another viewers comments if the intent of making this more professional, it lacks with some of the mechanic's comments, long pauses, etc. while in other areas his comments were very helpful and informative.

A positive point about the navigation is the auto zoom. That is another feature, like the vents that come up and down when you speak, where you don't have to manually control when on freeways then moving to streets.

I think you did a great job capturing the main points of the car and overviewing the pros/cons based on the forum comments. Great photos, scenery and music in the video.

In regard to your comment about brand...it is hard to tell what the car is and who makes it (especially if you remove the H badge. Most people I run into are impressed with the car's looks often describing it as beautiful but not knowing what car it is. It takes time to build brand and Hyundai is heading in the right direction but clearly there needs to be some refined identifiers so that they improve their brand. Sadly, as you say, it affects depreciation. In time, hopefully, that will change because as you said, this is truly an amazing vehicle with a lot of positive traits and technology that make the driving experience really nice. I find when I drive other's cars I miss some of the technology that this car has to offer.

What would have made it better?

A little more "life" to the video first of all. It had a very slow pace.

The "Mechanic" was very unaware of the car, and seemed any car for that matter.

There wasn't much real information in the first bit of the video for sure. I only made it about 5 minutes in and couldn't stand the slow pace and lack of information that was informative. Such as specs, or any specific information to the car that was useful.

Just my opinion.

The video footage of the car was good. And I believe the presenter has the ability to really capture attention - just not in this video.

The beginning WAS a little slow but if you got passed it, the rest was pretty good...

Maybe I will watch it again and just skip the first half. lol. Thanks.

Definitely one of the better video reviews - pretty in-depth w/o being overkill (reviewer also had a pleasant delivery and great video quality).

Thanks plenty of work went into the technical side.

I think the car looks great, and it does basically everything right. I agree with everything you said.

I always welcome negatives with basis. Plenty of truth to what you mentioned. The beginning is trying to build a story or basis for the car, showing that this is not just another Hyundai and yes for those who are analytical the lack of stats and specs will annoy some people. We are always handed the marketing nonsense and spec sheets with cars, and get tired of seeing it, so we stay away from talking about it however I get it needs to be in it more. Id be curious to see if your opinion changed getting through the video. There is an index of chapters/time on the youtube detail to skip around to different parts.
