  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

7 Reasons for Purchasing a Hyundai/Kia

I will not read the link because of insane attempts to pop video, pop ads, and force us to keep new ads displayed with the time consuming "next page" crap... Thanks for the post though. I am boycotting those type of egregious offending web sites. ⏰

I don't have link paranoia. Interesting read, Tuna.

Funny to read how these manufacturers have invested a lot of "capitol" (sic). Article also incorrectly states that a 5/60,000 "bumper-to-bumper" warranty exists. As we all know, it is a 5/60,000 limited warranty.

Also, IIRC, they listed the r-Spec as having a V6. Otherwise a good article.

:D
I use Firefox with Adblock and Ghostery - I don't see anything that I don't want to see it ;)

As for the warranty - he didn't mention anything about 3/36 that covers electronic gizmos. Did he?

I think they were talking about the coupe.

The Hyundai and Kia brands are damaged because of past quality issues. Most people buy a car based on how it looks and what they have heard about the brand. Most people think that modern Hondas are bullet proof because 10 years ago Honda made bullet proof cars- they don't look at data from modern Hondas to realize that company is going down hill quality-wise. Some other companies- like Mazda- also spend a lot of R&D money on perfecting the experience of the car, going so far as to spend an inordinate amount of research money on getting the feeling of the shifter in MX5's just right. that is the sort of thing that does not improve ultimate quality but does sell cars.

Hyundai needs to work on that sort of thing (look at the failure of Ford's Sync system and how it has adversly effected sales) so that when someone sits in the car, they get that Ooo Ahh experience and want to buy it.
