This is an argument sure to never end. The same comments have been made about the Genesis taking from Audi, BMW, etc. All car designs are derivative and the same Car Designers move between brands furthering the sense of familiarity in designs. Peter Schreyer who led the "Fluidic Sculpture" design of the Genesis came from.....Audi.

And Honda, dragging their feet when they updated the current generation of the Accord... The back end looks like the 2009-2011 Genesis. Tail lights are almost a carbon copy.

I've noticed similarities among a lot of cars. Car designs are largely based on market research. I think different people using the same data are likely to reach similar conclusions.

I thought that discussion was about the Chrysler 300. Or is there two 200 discussions plus a 300?

Yep, I see the similarities all right. Both have 4 wheels, a steering wheel and seats.

While I believe they look nothing alike, even if they did, I would never touch a Chrysler product.

In my subjective opinion, many of the mid-size cars look much alike. Ever since the Sonata was introduced, this segment has gotten better, more sporty styling. While I do not like most of Fiat-Chrysler's styling, especially the 300 and Dodge Charger, I like the looks of the new 200 but have not driven one (and will not except as a rental).

I agree on how many cars look similar these days. Parked at my sons baseball game yesterday and a Fusion parked behind it and from the couple hundred yards away I thought I left my trunk open. Then realized it was the car behind me. As I walked up to them after the game you could certainly see the styling differences but from a distance they carry the same lines.

I think it's mainly the badge that confuses people. Not so much the design. If you took the badges off both cars I don't think anyone would confuse any Chrysler model with a Hyundai model.
