Can I order direct from factory (Canadian)?

I live in Ontario, Canada. I'd like to order directly from the factory my Genesis. Through the dealer, of course.

Specifically, I'd like to have ALL WOOD TRIM in the 4.8+Tech package. Platinum + black leather interior + wood trim. Is this possible? Some dealers need a bit more education because some say "no", others say "yes", some say "leather trim only and we swap it out at additional cost" (WTF?)

I want a build date and receive the car 6-8 weeks later. Is this feasible with Hyundai dealers in Ontario, Canada? Because, if you're shelling out that much cash, you better be able to get what you want, not a close proximity that's been sitting on the lot all winter.

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. is the importer and they order from the factory and sell the cars to the dealer in Canada. The dealer does not have direct contact with the factory as far as order are concerned.

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. can order anything they want, but if it is different than one of the packages established for that model year (base, premium, premium plus, tech, etc), then that would be difficult to do because Hyundai in Korea wants them to stick to options in the packages already established for that model year. I can't say whether it is impossible or not.

Some dealers may tell you they can order specific things from the factory to gain your business, but they are really just reserving specific cars that were already ordered by Hyundai Auto Canada Corp., or if you want a non-standard option either the dealer or the importer would have replace the parts themselves if not part of a standard package.

Toyota, Honda, etc work pretty much the same way.

It costs the manufacturer much less to install accessories as a package, vice installing them individually. As a package, everything is ready "Just In Time", all together. If memory serves me correct, Honda started this method many years ago, where you could not get a specific accessory unless you also got the whole package.
