AWD ( H trac ) Snow Mode?

The 2015 manual refers to H trac selections available include SNOW.. This is incorrect. Only. Economy, Normal & Sport. Which selection for driving in Snow ? HELP

If I understand the question correctly (and if I remember correctly), you have to hold the drive selection button pushed in for a few seconds to get "Snow" selected. Also, I believe snow mode is available in all models, not just HTRAC.

yes. hold the button down and it will go into snow mode. didn't find that useful. basically like starting your car in 2nd or 3rd gear if you had a manual

My understanding of SNOW Mode is that on the HTRAC Cars it sets the AWD to 50:50 Front to Rear, Softens the Throttle Response (almost dangerously slow in my opinion), brings the stability control into action sooner and starts the car in 2nd (or 3rd?) gear from a Stop. I wasn't aware it was also available on RWD cars, but if so it should do everything except the traction split front to rear of course.

glad you asked this - I knew the car had snow mode but wasn't sure how to activate it. I am fairly certain the Genesis will sit in the garage if there is snow on the ground...

i believe snow mode is on all genesis, not just the AWD.. I used the mode all the time as i prefer the trans mapping for eco saving versus the eco mode..Not sure if it really adjusts the tq split.

I used normal and snow mode during a blizzard in PA, both worked well

I used snow mode in about 6 inches of heavy snow and it was fantastic. I agree that on the dry, it dangerously retards the engine/transmission but in the snow it was nice.

I had no idea that the RWD also has this "Snow Mode". I read over the manual, or most of it too. Makes me wonder what else I don't know about. Pretty cool.
