  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have 2012 Genesis 3.8 with Tech Package

I want to replace the OEM horn with another one. I have already purchased a pair. I am wondering if someone can share instructions to access the horns. So far I have gotten mixed information. Some recommend removing headlights. Official Hyundai documentation says I have to remove bumper as well. Has someone done it successfully? Can you please share instructions.

I also want to change the High beam with cool white LEDs. I already found the instructions at http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2009_Hyundai_Genesis_4.6_4.6L_V8/lights/headlight but I am not sure exactly which bulb to purchase. Is it same as the DRL H7? Does H7 comes in different types/wattage? Is there a recommended brand?

Any help is appreciated.

I was never that impressed with the OEM horn either. I'd like something that says "Frieghtliner" on it! ;)

Hello,

I have the service manual for the 2009 linked in my signature. Look in there to see if it can help you any.

Also, to take the headlights out, you need to take the front bumper off anyway. Sounds like you should tackle this all in one shot.

Thanks. I just downloaded the guide and looked at the location of screws/fasteners.

I'll go home and check if I can remove bumper without having to jack up the car.

Will post photos here
