  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well...thanks to you all who provided constructive feedback to my post about my recent problems!
What a week... I received a call at 8:00am in the morning immediately this past monday after posting from the Reg. Sales Mgr of Hyundai USA. I was truly surprised and honored that Hyundai Corporate reads this forum and my concerns went straight to the Corp Hqtrs. and there was a genuine, sincere interest in ensuring I remained a very satisfied Hyundai customer.
After speaking with the Reg. Sales Mgr... I received a call from the GM of Edmond Hyundai within minutes.
I presented my case to the GM from Edmond Hyundai who was genuinely interested and apologetic on the phone. He asked if my wife and I would take some time to visit with him personally about the situation, which we did on Thursday afternoon.
We received our deposit back from the GM right away and we believe he really wanted to resolve the situation and satisfy us as long time Hyundai customers.
We are satisfied with the resolution...and we respect the GM addressing the situation personally rather than blowing us off as just one sale.

We will again be driving a new Genesis...with our own approved financing.

Thank you Hyundai and Thank you Edmond Hyundai GM for resolving our problem!

So, Hyundai Corporate reads this site.

Well I'm going to tell them how much I love Rick Case Hyundai. Let's see if they respond to this:

I had gone to Rick Case and test drove a Genesis (non tech) I believe in early July. I asked them to call me when they got a tech model in. On July 31, 2008 a salesman, Randall, called to tell me they had gotten in their first tech Genesis. He suggested that I should consider leasing it rather than buying it.

He quoted me the following official lease terms:
V6 with tech package
-- $499 per month
-- $1680 down
-- +Tax and Registration
-- $595 disposition fee at end of lease if you turn it in
-- $26,400 to buy it at end of lease

I went to Rick Case (Ft. Lauderdale) and took a very long test drive with Randall. When we got back to the dealer. I said "Let's do it.'" He then wrote up the deal and presented it to the sales manager (Leroy) who said . We don't make enough money on the official lease and we want $800.00 more up front and I think $89.00 more per month."

I told him that Coconut Creek Hyundai had called about the same time as Randall and I was going there. Long story short. I bought at Coconut Creek.

I also told this story to a Hyundai Representative at the Ft. Lauderdale Auto Show yesterday. She said that she had heard several not very good stories about Rick Case and couldn't understand how they managed to stay in business.

I would not be disappointed if Leroy lost his job.

P.S. I ran into Leroy about two weeks ago at my doctor's office. I said "I know you. You're the deal killer." He said "That's right." I said "it's because of you that I will never set foot in Rick Case again." I then decided it was best if I moved to another room before we got into a fight.

P.P.S. This was not a credit problem. Very few people have a higher credit score than I do.

I am going to post this story under a new heading.

1fastgenesis,
I understand you bought your Genesis from Edmond Hyundai...in Oklahoma? I would love to speak with the same person you spoke with because I am about two seconds form filing a BBB complaint and notifying the Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission about their "Shady" dealings. I will try to keep this to a minimum. I purchase a Black Noir 09 V-8 Genesis in Oct 08. I purchased the exted Warranty (Platinum), GAPP, Tire & Wheel Protection, Service Plan, Dent Protection...you name, I got it! well I called the company that handles the warranties (Fidelity) and was told my contract number didn't exist. After months of dealing with everyone in finance, new car sales, and even the GM I finally was given a new contract number....well you guessed it! (NON EXISTENT AS WELL). I spent months speaking with the same people and have been promised everything shy of the moon but haven't received as much as lake property in MidWest City. I would REALLY Love to speak with HYUNDAI Motor Co. or possibly the actual owner of Edmond Hyundai...I respectfully held mentioned their names...much more than they have done for me!!!!
