  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I do not want my contacts to download / transfer to my 2015 Genesis (base model). Is there a way to make it stop trying? It tries every single time I start the car.

(There was an old thread on this several years ago with many people saying they were frustrated by it as well, but the issue went unresolved.)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Just so I am clear, you still want bluetooth connectivity, but don't want the contacts to sync, right?

I had a similar concern, but I just changed the name of my Gumada in my contacts to Donald Trump. That way, whenever she calls, my wife thinks that Trump is calling and seeking my advice.

On my 2010 it would sync the contacts every time it connected until I unchecked the "Sync Contacts" option under Bluetooth setting on my phone.

Unfortunately that does not appear to be an option here. The car continues to initiate the process. Regardless of what I do.

this became extremely annoying after I upgraded my iPhone. I've tried to change every setting in car and on phone to eliminate the annoying 30 sec msg that starts every time I start my car now, and it also cuts my a/c. someone please help us!!!

Did anyone ever solve this. Its frustrating to listen to this every time i turn on the vehicle..
I see information on how to download contact but that is all. The DIS manual does not tell you how you can NOT d/l them.
Of course, once downloaded you will not get the message any more. I guess they assume everyone wants then d/l.
