  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Local dealer has a '15 Genesis 3.8 AWD with ultimate pkg, 30k miles, clean title & CPO. Listed for $38.3k.

It seems like this car brand new can be had for $47k ish after all the rebates and discounts..

$47K ish BEFORE rebates is more accurate.

didn't check out the pricing thread.. sorry i haven't been here for a while. anyway, it seems you guys here scored some SICK deals. wow.

based on what everyone is paying on NEW '15s, this used ultimate with 30k miles only is worth $34-35k tops...... damn

Remind the dealer that his used 2015 is going to be hard to sell as soon as the 2016s hit the lot.

Checked out the car. 3.8 AWD is a lot slower than RWD from stop lights.

Was gonna buy it at 35k, but daeler wont budge from $36.5k.

30K miles is not high mileage. But does a lot of difference in the price.

A new car at .5% APR is very attractive even to cash buyers.

And at this moment you can get good discounts AND finance at that rate.

Also, I can't comment on the importance of Ultimate Vs Base / Signature as this is very personal.

But the $$ difference is big.

You can have a Signature for 37.5K easily.

So, the question becomes: Brand new Signature Vs 30K Ultimate.

Decisions, decisions...

On a car likely a year or less old, it is.

That is precisely my point. 30K for a Genesis is far from "a life". But does affect the price in a relevant way.

An interesting test would be a search for used 2015s in truecar.
Then sorting by mileage and feeling the differences.
Of course those prices are not final, but this is a difference discussion.

Any car with 30,000 miles on it is far from new; it's 2 best years are gone regardless of its model year.

Agree

I would suggest depreciate it by 40%...as a target...(30% for the year; and 10% for mileage. Target comes to about $32K. Just my 2 cents...

or keep looking...

The thing is, no one pays sticker for these.

Mine had an MSRP around $45k. Bought it for a little under $34k (new, only 12 miles).

Fantastic value.

Yes, and if you finance/lease APR is .5.

If you lease the residual is inflated ( 56% of FULL MSRP) - another discount.

And the car is great!
