Perhaps I'm being paranoid but... I'm wondering if my Genny is idling at too low a RPM. I would have sworn it's normally 1000 RPM, but today it seems to have dropped to only 500-550.
The reason I'm concerned is that I've had two previous fuel pumps die on me without warning (once in traffic) and I'm worried that this might be a warning sign that it's going to happen again.
For the record, I did call my local service shop to see if they could check the specs for what it should be, but no dice.
Could a fellow 4.6 driver confirm their idle RPM for me, please?
