  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How to silence the "tune" that plays when ignition is turned off

Poor Beth, she just asked a simple question.

I hear ya man. I did my best to find an answer for her and for reasons unknown, snarkiness ensued.

Thank you R-Spectable: Your post worked.! Yay!

I did put my car in accessory mode to try this.

"It's called "welcome sound" and I was able to turn it off by holding the DISP button on the steering wheel for a few seconds. This activates the menu, which appears in the center of the instrument cluster (where the "cartoon" Genny shows up when the tune plays). From there, you can toggle it on/off and use the TRIP button to save the setting."

Now my car is perfect! :)

Beth, you may want to update your profile to say a "1G Genesis". The 2G is for 2015+.
