  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone successfully using an iPod via USB and not locking up after a while? If so, which iPod model? Classic? Touch?

Using a classic on a 2015 with signature and it doesn't lock up. With that said, sometimes when I start the car it's at the very first song filed under "A" and I have to either go back to the album I was listening to before I turned it off or just hit shuffle again since it never seems to remember I want the songs shuffled

My classic may have an issue, as it will play for a while and then lock up on a song, forcing a hard reset of the iPod. Never had this issue on previous cars with same iPod. It also always starts up at the first song and will not hold the Shuffle setting - this seems to be a "feature". Very frustrating and way behind the times, as iPod connectivity should be old hat by now. May try another iPod and see if the crashing stops - guess I have to live with the start up to song "A" ("Abacab" in my case) and no holding of shuffle setting (which the Jukebox does as well as almost every other car).

I had the exact same issues with my 160 GB Classic. I switched to a USB flash drive and haven't had any issues.

I-Pod Touch. No problems here.
