  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Favorite Color and Why (Interior/Exterior)

my sales rep was saying the color production is something like
35% black
25% white
15% empire slate grey
10% silver
then the rest

dunno if it's different for USA, but makes some of those other colours pretty rare

Hyundai did not pick the right important shades. the ibiza blue should have been much darker similar to that of bmw's double dark blue.

I also was initially taken by the Ibiza Blue in the brochures, but then when I saw it in person it did not seem to match the cars class (segment). It reminded me of a Subaru WRX color or one on a smaller, economy car. I am sure those who have it are happy, but I was afraid it would not wear well for me after the first few weeks.

Totally subjective but I really like the Santiago silver with the black interior. I almost went with white, which looks awesome, but something about the silver set me off. In sunlight it's very bright, and the paint has a depth to it that a proper polishing brings out. I love the Ivory interior though, simply gorgeous.

Quite normal as these are standard everyday colors which are easily sold. I had to special order my Montecito/Ivory through the dealer. Took over 3 month from the day they placed the order until it was produced in Korea, shipped and delivered to my dealer. May have something to do with being a Canadian V8 Htrac which is in very limited production. In fact, I believe Canada is the only country worldwide which gets the V8 Htrac combo and therefor estimate maybe 100 or so were ever produced and I am being generous.

I like white because its cooler here in Texas than a dark colors, it is supposed to have a higher resale value, and easier to touch up if needed. I like the beige interior because it not as hot as black and does not show dust accumulation as bad as the black.

yeah, i assumed the figures did not break down into individual models.

would love to see all the actual production numbers...wonder if they would release them at the end of the year or something

Without a doubt, Black on Black. Not only is it hard to keep clean and shows everything, it's hotter in the summer. Unfortunately I think when clean with tinted windows, it really looks sharp.

Id say black on black as well. But am I the only one that likes the metallic beige on this car?

I am trying to decide whether to lease a Parisian Grey or Empire State Gray with a ivory interior. I really like the black matte wood in it.

I wanted the Ivory interior with either the Parisian Gray, Empire State Gray, or Montecito Blue. I like all of the colors, but I really like the dark grays and blues on this car.

I traded my Red BMW 328i Sedan in on a certified pre-owned 2015 Genesis. I've always had bright/stand-out color combos with all my previous cars, but when I first saw the 2nd generation Genesis my concept of color changed completely because this is truly a "luxury" sedan. I originally wanted the Ibiza blue color (again to stand out) but then realized black and white look great on this car. I hated the beige interior that I found on many cars I test drove, so decided to keep an eye out for a certified pre-owned with anything but beige. I called a local dealer about a black one but was informed it was not certified BUT he did have a recent trade in that was Montecito Blue with gray interior. I hadn't even heard of or seen a Montecito Blue so asked him to send pics and I was sold. Absolutely love it and I'm proud to say it's twice the car my BMW was in tech, features, and overall value. Never thought I'd be proud to say I drive a Hyundai.....!!!

:welcome:
You made a great choice! Enjoy your new ride!

As for the topic, I bought white because it's the fastest color!

montecito blue is very nice. color seems to change at different lighting levels.

sometimes it is a gray, sometimes it's a slate pearl blue. but it matches very nice with the matte silver trim.
