  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If you have the DIS controller knob right behind the shifter on the center console, you have the highest package (technology package). I think in 2011, the technology package was standard on the 4.6 V8, but not 100% sure.

You can have a Hyundai dealer service dept. run the VIN for you and find out all the details on your car and what services, recalls, and TSBs that dealers have performed on it. But as I recall Mark 888 is correct, in 2011 the 4.6 came with all options. IMO its the sweet spot for the 1st generation Genesis.

Having just purchased a 2011 4.6, it is nice to know this, but I must admit that my first thought when I saw How do you know what package you have?

Was to just look down. :p

2010 was when the Tech package was standard on the 4.6L, so your car is top trim. I have an '09 and the Tech pack was an option then.

According to Hyundai web site the the tech pkg in 2010 was optional on the 4.6. In 2011 model the tech pkg was standard on the 4.6 v8.
