  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Convince me not to trade this in for a 5 series. I love Genny but I'm soooooo tempted to trade it in.

Dude it's upside down. How the hell do you even drive that?
I'd be scared to death. :)

Pass. Maintenance costs and reliability on the Genesis are much better.

LOL! keep the shiny side up! :D

If it's a 2003 E39 540i 6speed manual, low mileage - go for it!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Only if it is new....and you are going to lease it. If you buy it, dump it before the warranty runs out.

What year and model 5-series?

  • I agree about driving around upside-down, it'd definitely not conducive to your health
  • If you're getting one, I agree with the earlier post, get a new one, and either lease it, or buy it and get an extended warranty
  • I've only seen one gold Genesis in 5+ years; you definitely have a unique car that looks gorgeous
  • You only live once; if you really want the 5 series, go for it!! But nothing less than a 535i.

LOL! My bad, I tried to rotate the pics but couldn't figure it out! How'd you do that?

But as far as the beamer goes, theres this 2011 528 I was looking at. 40k miles. But I'm gonna pass. At this stage in life I can't afford the BMW I really want so I'm just gonna pay genny off, keep her, and in about 5 years go get my dream car...M6 Gran coupe

I couldn't fall asleep last night knowing your pictures were upside down like that lol

You can upload pictures to your album, then right click on them and choose "copy image location." Copy the image location and paste after clicking the insert image tab in your post.

The N52 is dead reliable, but not much fun in the 5-series, barely any fun in the 3-series (I had an E90 328i). About the only real modification is EAS' supercharger kit.

And while the M6 Gran Coupe is nice, the 535i is still the better deal for power and, dare I say, more reliable. $25k can get you a well equipped and under 30,000 mile E60 535i with the N54 engine. Add another $8,300 to an otherwise stock car and...:

Yes, 829 RWHP and 781 ft-lbs on stock internals and you can have it with a wagon!
