  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If I've been listening to streaming audio from my bluetooth device, and park the car without turning the AV system off, the next time I start the car, the radio comes on--often at a high volume. And I can't turn it off for the first 15 seconds or so. All I can do is turn the volume down. Screen just shows the GENESIS logo, while the rest of the electronics are initializing, I suppose.

Anyone else experiencing this? Or is my AV system faulty?

I only listen to music from my phone. I just got in the habit of lowering the volume before leaving the car because of this issue.

Sometimes I'll leave the radio tuned to static (which tends to be quiet), so at least I don't get greeted with a loud commercial when I start the car.

When streaming audio, always be sure to first set the smartphone's volume slider to the highest level. Then adjust the car radio volume.

I do believe this is normal as your phone doesn't get connected until the system boots up. I frequently get blasted out because I am steaming through bluetooth then shut off the car. When I restart the stereo comes on loud.

I've experienced this as well. it is annoying and often times I cannot even reduce the volume for a few seconds while the system initializes.

I have had no issues using the steering wheel volume control when this happens. I never tried the knob on the dash as I would be adjusting the temp any how as I always tend to grab the wrong one :D
