  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The Genesis appears to have smoother exterior lines and a much more "timeless" interior design. Sometimes simple is better...:grouphug:

The grill looks too much like a Buick but the dash looks nice.

JOwest,

Not a Buick, but a Lincoln MKS. Either way, it is UGLY.

If it does come to the US, it's likely to have a diff. US spec grille (just like the Gen).

Actually the $100,000 Equus is outselling the base model apparently.
Seriously? Do you have any more details?

According to sources at Hyundai, the Equus will not cost anywhere near $100K if and when it comes to the US. They are still discussing whether to change the name (one possibility it to make it part of the Genesis family).

Right. For Hyundai to sell the car at $100,000.00 would be a worse mistake than Volkswagen made with their Phaeton. It'll likely cost somewhere between $50k and $60k at first. If they follow in Lexus' footsteps - they'll raise the price quickly over the following years or generations.

If they bring it to the US it and the Genesis will be fighting for the same customers.......

I would expect it to be in the $70K+ range, so I am not so sure. But I expect it to be just a showcase car to show people that Hyundai can build such a car if it wants to. I don't think they are going to sell vary many of them in the US. This is called "building the brand." Since the car is already made for the Korean market, it won't cost them a lot of extra money to sell it here.

Nah, the Genesis tops out at $42,000 - the Prestige will START at at LEAST $50-$55k...

Since the Lexus LS460 starts at $63,000 - ANY Hyundai luxury car no matter how good it is cannot start anywhere near that. Unfortunately for Hyundai, about as high as they can go and expect any sales is $55k to start.
