  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

"In early 2016, Hyundai will have additional information regarding the availability of CarPlay and Android Auto on other models. This will include information on how existing owners of compatible vehicles with Hyundai's fourth-generation navigation system or Display Audio can update their vehicles with these features. Android Auto is currently available on 2015 and 2016 Sonata models."

I don't know what this means for those of you that went with the ultimate package. It would be a shame to have gone the extra mile for the 9.2" DIS, and not be in the loop on this. I am confident that this will apply to the tech package and below. I hope I'm not reading too much into this.

Hold on, let me check my tea leaves... yup, it's a possible certainty!

Seriously though, it makes sense that the roll out would be in cars that are high volume and targeted at a younger crowd. Will the Gen2 get it? Time will tell.

People also pay more for cars to have features that haven't trickled down to the lower tier models yet. If they can't take care of the Ultimate owners now, who is to say that they will in the future when new technology comes out. I could have bought a $20K Elantra to have the latest and greatest, at least that's the message Hyundai is sending.

Not quite. That $20K may get you slightly better phone integration than Siri can for the moment, but that's it. Until CarPlay is BT capable, I'm not that interested, as I do not plug my phone in every time I get in the car.

Well yeah, but then you'd have to drive an Elantra!
I bought my G2 based on what I experienced through research and driving. potential for future software updates to the DIS barely registered and didn't move the needle.

Half joking - if AA was a necessity, I wouldn't have bought my Genesis a month ago. Genesis is built like a tank compared to the Elantra.

I'd be happy if I got it on my 2016. Not having the Ultimate Package people get it would just be icing on the cake. ;-)

at this point I wont be buying another genny, yes i'm that guy.. competition is tight and hyundai is dropping the ball.. it truly pissed me off when I read that the elantra was getting AA..add to that the little things they over looked on the 15's and added to the 16's.. just leaves a very bad taste in my mouth

In the scheme of things, these issues are mice nuts. The Genesis is still an outstanding value when one looks at the total package. I would not let the lack of a piece of technology that will probably be replaced by newer tech in a year or so sway me the other benefits the car has. While I am also not happy about the 15/16 LED DRL snafu, the care is still a lot for the money and it will take more than those minor issues to become a problem.

Mice nuts or not, still a little frustrating a lower end Hyundai gets new tech rolled out to it before Genesis, a car that cost 3x more. Give it a few more weeks and the next Hyundai to get AA will be the Accent.

Frustrating yes, enough to not buy the car, no. Could be worse - a BMW that cost twice as much has not got it either. Given the choice of a lesser car with it or the Genesis, I take the Genesis.

Well said.

i never considered a BMW, honestly the only reason i have the genny is bc my touareg was getting old and the new ones lacked too much that my 2008 HAD which after this snowstorm I learned how much better the 4motionX is over the HTRAC which made me miss my vw even more.. yes it was more expensive to care for, but i never felt any type of buyers remorse

hyundai gave their word on AA and ACP for the genny and have yet to deliver, sure it's minor but the car note i pay is quite major to me..All of my major electronics in my home are Samsung, I drive an hour to work so I really want AA in the car

I recently received a survey from hyundai about my car purchase, I made sure to point out the fact that a honda accord has plasma led drl running lights while my 2015 doesn't even have led dlr. :( I wish oracle made an aftermarket kit
