  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone else noticed a reverse / backup speed limiter on their 2015 Genesis 5.0 or other? Mine seems to max out at about 10 mph? With pretty slow / low torque acceleration.

Have not checked as I have never felt the need to go faster than that in reverse? Why would you?

Since there is only one transmission gear for reverse, I would not doubt that there is a limiter. What RPM are you maxing out at?

Floored it peaks at about 2.5k maybe 3k - and i would estimate no more than 8-10 mph. Would be nice to know - and i suspect you're right/there is a limiter or governor- but I never heard nor read anything about it. Thanks.

Could be a safety issue, I don't know.
