Picked up a 2013 5.0 R-Spec

Just wanted to pop in and say "hi". I'm a proud new (to me) Genesis owner. I picked up a gently used (23,000 miles) 2013 R-Spec 5.0 and I'm loving it! Up until last week I was driving a 2012 535i and my wife was driving a 2013 Acura TL. The Acura's lease was up and we started looking for a new car for her. We happend across a Genesis on the lot at carmax and decided to take it on a test drive. I fell in love with the car and talked my wife in to takin the 535i. (wasn't very hard to do that) I drive 60+ miles round trip everyday in Atlanta traffic so I'm all about creature comforts... the Genesis is a perfect fit. Anyhow... looking forward to contributing and reading. I'm located in the Atlanta metro area btw.

Welcome to the club! It is a wonderful machine. Nothing like being able to just cruise swathed in comfort and, seconds later, holding on for dear life plastered against the back of the seat. This is the best all around car I've ever owned. Best of luck with yours!

What differences have you noticed between your 535i and rspec? Both are very nice cars.

Nice! You got to keep the Bimmer and pick up the Genesis too! I did the same, so my Genesis lives outside. I tried to get my wife to park her car outside so the M5 and the Genesis could stay clean, especially with all the tree pollen this time of year, but she said no.

What differences have you noticed between your 535i and rspec? Both are very nice cars.

535i is a smoother ride overall... But the Genesis absolutely blows it away off the line and at hwy speeds. I do like the 535i steering characteristics over the Genesis. A few times at speed I felt like I was not in total control... One example is hitting a bump while going around a tight turn like an exit ramp... The 535i hugs true and tight while doing this type of turn.

I don't know the exact color name, it's the gray / platinum color. Has a small blemish on front drivers side bumper strip below headlight (getting fixed). Also came with weather tech floor liners.

if it is the titanium, the darker of the two greys, it may have been mine. I sold it with the weather tech mats in it.

You may be driving my former car!

I left the wings on the back and wheels, but put the stock airbag back in and kept my winged airbag.

Yup! Sounds like I bought your former car... Small world. Any chance you still have the original RSPEC mats?
