  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not sure if I'm the only one who thinks this is nice, but I'll share it anyway. On the My Hyundai site you can access the recommended maintenance schedule. On most manufacturer's sites, this is nothing more than a link to a PDF. I thought it was pretty cool that the one Hyundai links to is dynamic. Here is the link:

https://consumer.xtime.com/xt/menu/?skipQuery=true&driving_condition=Normal&locale=en_US&variant=HMA&make=HYUNDAI

If you add your VIN to the end of the URL, it will just directly to your vehicle's configuration. That URL would look something like this:

https://consumer.xtime.com/xt/menu/...ariant=HMA&make=HYUNDAI&vin=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hope someone else thinks this is useful too...

Good find. Nice to have this readily accessible.

Tried it on my 2016. Says no vehicle with this #. Vin was inputted correctly 4 times, same result, NFG.

its also on the Genesis App which is cool..

Do people not have an Owner's Manual with the recommended maintenance schedule?

If you want a PDF version, go to www.MyHyundai.com and register to get access to manuals online.

According to the Owner's Manual (chapter 7), scheduled service is every 7,500 miles or 6 months, unless the vehicle is driven under severe conditions, which are outlined in the manual as well.

It's easy to track since the car had a setting with a reminder function in the center display.

Actually, for normal service, I believe that engine oil and filter changes are every 7,500 miles or 12 months (whichever comes first).

For severe service, it is every 3750 miles or 6 months.

There are some items, mostly inspection, that say every 6 months.

I always used to follow the severe interval even though my driving was not severe. Then oil changes became much more a PITA (especially in the Genesis). I switched to Mobil 1 0w-30 and switched to the standard interval.
