Remote start and climate control

Just got a new fully loaded 2016 3.8 (empire state grey/ivory, sweet!) after 3 years in a 2013. I use the remote start thru phone app regularly to pre-cool the car. With my 2013, it worked flawlessly, as long as i left the a/c settings on. I've found that the few times I've used it in the new one, the a/c is only blowing thru the front defroster vents and not the dash panel a/c vents and therefore is not cooling the car. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Try leaving the climate control on Auto... In the APP there is a slider setting for Defrost. Turn that off, and set your desired temp; 70F for example.

On a side note.... I have downloaded both the Genesis APP, and the generic Blue Link app.

With the Genesis app, my settings always default to 72F and Defrost ON. I can change them, but the nest time I use the app, the settings are back to 72F and Defrost ON.

If I use the Bluelink APP, I can pick my setting, and that is the default then next time I open the APP. 70F and Defrost OFF for example.

Have other folks noticed this? I'm back to the Blue Link app for now.

FWIW, I just emailed Blue Link support asking for this to be addressed in a future update.
