  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Everyone,

I was reading the above article. Its really interesting if they go ahead with all those changes they have mentioned as to the brand, the car is still the same.

1. Owners will also receive three years of complimentary valet service. A Genesis representative can drive to the owner and leave them with a loaner while the car is whisked off for service - This is a feature i would literally look forward to not having to worry about the service schedule.

2.Speaking of service, the first three years (or 36,000 miles) of scheduled maintenance is also included -- that covers stuff like oil changes, air filters, oil filters, tire rotations and the like. - this is on par with the luxury brands.

3. Owners will also receive three free years of Genesis Connected Services. This includes app services that allow for remote unlocking and starting, and valet, speed and curfew alerts. It also covers automatic collision notification, emergency roadside assistance, on-demand diagnostics and online destination searches. - This is nice currently they only do 3 months trail of full services and it costs close to $200 per year. Which i think they realized should be included in a luxury model. I know MB has a 5 year for every new car.

Now the big question comes up. I watched their Korean reveal of G80 and they mentioned all the current owners of genesis will receive service same as new G80 owners. I wonder what that would mean for us in North American markets. I would love to have that connected services and valet service i can pay oil change. That valet service in my mind is such a luxury feature just beats everything. I know equus already has it, but come on how many of those they sell. While Genesis have sold alot.

Do you guys think we should get some services similar to a new G80 owners ?

It would be nice, but I'd suspect that some things may apply, and others won't.
Perhaps we get the Valet Service? I think Bluelink and SiriusXM is a long shot.
We have not seen pricing yet, but perhaps there will be a modest adjustment upwards (or less incentives) to help offset the enhancements.

I'm probably in a tiny minority of Genesis owners, but I'd prefer not to have a stranger drive my car, even a parking lot valet. Those tight parking spaces at the dealership give me nightmares. Come to think of it, I get free oil changes now but do it myself because rushed mechanics make mistakes, and I don't really need Connected Services.

It would definitely be nice to see some things given to current 2015-2016 Genesis owners, but who knows what they'll do. At a minimum, it'd be a great gesture of good will to give everyone the latest nav updates and maybe a year of free connected services, as some folks are coming up on the expiration date for their services. That'd put me in the promoter bucket for sure.

Good idea to keep the bennies short-term and current so they include lessees as well as longer term owners. You want those 2 or 3 year Hyundai lease addicts to re-up with Genesis when their lease terms are over.

Genesis Motors has their own website and they list Bluelink and SiriusXM(but it doesnt say anything about music, seems to be more about news) as part of the 3 year/36,000 mile deal.
