  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

OK - am desperate! My interior lights as well as the welcome light and outside lights (not headlights) are not working. I checked the settings and they are all on.
Can anyone please tell me how to do a fix here as there is no one to talk to at the dealership and we don't want to drive all the way to the closest one so am depending upon you!
Thanks.

Which exterior lights? There is one fuse at the instrument panel (10Amps) named "interior lights" that controls all the interior lights and could be blown but is not related with any exterior lights.

What about the interior light button?

The little image is not the right one for my car - there are 3 buttons but the middle one has something to do with the roof.
And the lights that are affected are the welcome lights and the interior lights that should come on when the door is opened.

Phil -

Step one -

Take a closer look at the buttons on your overhead. There is one labeled "Door". Make sure that that is pushed in. If it is there will be an indicator that shows it is active. See if that solved the door issue. (As a further test, you can press "Room".. in that case the lights will come on even with your door closed.... if they work, that rules out a fuse issue... make sure to press door again when you are done)

Step 2

For the welcome lights and puddle lights on the mirror, there are settings in the menu that turn that on and off. Scroll through all of the menu settings to set that.

Odds are these settings are causing the problem. If not, then you should get back to your dealer.

Ok - thanks - got the interior lights but the puddle is set to on and that still does not work..

OK - A good way to test the puddle lamps.

First- make sure that the folding mirror is set to AUTO.
Get into a dark garage.. (not totally dark, but not too bright.
Then Lock the car. Tke mirrors should fold in
Wait a few seconds and unlock the car with your fob.
If you don't see the puddle lamp illuminate on the ground, a trip to the dealer is in order.
