False Warning Chimes

Curious if anyone else has experienced this:

Several times (about 8), I've gotten double audible chimes. Today I got the double chime 4 times. There are no indications on the dash or HUD or Display.

Also, few times I have been stopped at a traffic light, with my foot on the brake, and other cars stationary ahead of me and to my left. Then I get the beeps and a visual indicator I am too close to the car in front of me or to the car ahead and to my left.

It all happens so fast there is no way to get my phone out to take a video.

I know if I took it to the dealer I would be told it is operating normally and can not be reproduced.

Beeping while stiting at a light with other cars is likely the parking radar being fooled by the radar emissions from other cars. I've noticed BMW X series SUVs (X3, X5) set mine off almost every time and for some reason Ford Fusions will as well. Probably nothing can be done and it will be chalked up to interference by your dealer.

Chimes while driving are another matter, is it your blind spot warning? I turned off the sound on mine so it is only visual in the mirror. You might want to play with the settings.

The Blind Spot Warning sets off a much faster set of beeps, unlike the double chimes.

Yup, same here - BMW X series SUV's usually set off my parking sensors when I'm stopped behind them. I've also had my blind spot detector randomly indicate a car in my blind spot a few times when I'm on a 1 lane road with open fields on both sides (so it can't be actually "seeing" anything?).

This is why I'm not even close to trusting a self-driving vehicle (plus I want to drive myself anyhow) - still way too many opportunities for cross talk/bad sensor info to make the vehicle react when it shouldn't (or vice-versa)!

My G70- 2021 chimes twice only while sitting in park even in an empty parking lot. No visual pic on the dash, just 2 chimes. Fuel full, tires fine, doors closed..... just pulled in parking lot and put in park, chimed after about 5 minutes then might not do it again for months. Any ideas?
