  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Guys,

New to the forum! Just picked up a 2013 Genesis Premium + Tech, loving it so far!

Definitely got lucky with this one, just off a lease by and older gentleman that clearly babied the car, Only 34k miles on it, runs and feels like new! Love the smooth ride but power delivery is certainly there when you want it!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Genesis Sedan! It sounds like you bought a V8. Am I right?

3.8 Actually. Perhaps the next one I will be able to splurge for the V8! All my previous cars haven't had anything close to the power of the 3.8 so I'm quite pleased for now:)

That's what I have. The 3.8 is plenty. The 5.0 is quite impressive...

In the 3 day's I've owned it I've already been asked twice what the car is! It has the genesis wing badge on the rear end so most people have no idea what it is. Can say I've only seen a handful ever in the city I live in. My wife has a Santa Fe and I see one every other car, it's nice to have something a little more unique!

Congrats now you have to make the car unique to you. I always say that I don't want to see myself driving down the road. Which means make your car different from anything else on the road. Good luck.

I got the 3.8 as well and am in your boat. Went from prius and 4 cylinder camry before that. This thing is blistering fast. So many more options of what you can do when driving. Enjoying the hell out of mine.

LOVE IT!

I agree 20000%

Welcome to the club!! Many congrats! I had that many miles when I got Genny also 2 years ago. She has 91k miles on her now and is still perfect as the day I purchased her.

Just treat her good and she will treat you good as well.

I hear ya, I came from a Jetta and Accent before that. Both fine getting from A to B but not much of a personality! I grew up driving some of the first generation G35's, since then I've patiently waiting to get my hands on my own powerful sedan:)

I wanted a G35 but was told by the general manager of a toyota dealership the genesis was the best kept secret in the car business. Toyota excels at A to B but this thing has some soul to it.

I finally got all setup with the proper USB/AUX cable and lightning pin adapter. Man what a difference in sound! Finally get what everyone is taking about😄
